| National Diploma for IT Practitioners |
The National Diploma Programme for IT Practitioners concentrates on the professional skills needed by businesses using IT Systems. Students acquire knowledge and skills needed for a career as an IT Practitioner or Technician in the areas of business systems, user support, networking and software development.
Graduates may pursue a Higher Diploma in Computing or Information Technology or pursue internationally recognised professional careers in system support, system analysis and design, network administration and database management.
Learners will gain valuable practical experience through an ‘On Job Learning’ work placement that prepares them for the real world of business.
Graduates of the National Diploma for IT Practitioners will be able to meet the professional requirements of a bilingual (English and Arabic) business environment. Graduates will have life-long learning skills so that they can advance into management information systems careers with local and international organisations in the United Arab Emirates.
Admission
The National Diploma for IT Practitioners is open to national and non-national residents of the United Arab Emirates. Admission to the programme is based on performance on a diagnostic assessment test on basic skills in communication in English and on the use of numbers.
