The Higher National Diploma Programme in Business extends a learner’s prior knowledge of the in a business organisation and provides an international focus to ensure graduates are able to meet the challenges of the global workplace. Students consider the role of management in finance, human resource management, law marketing, e-business and IT.

Graduates of the Higher National Diploma in Business will be able to meet the professional requirements of a bilingual (English and Arabic) business environment. Graduates will have life-long learning skills with an emphasis on applied analytical and conceptual skills that are developed in authentic work-related situations and in genuine investigative project work so that they can advance into management careers with local and international organisations in the United Arab Emirates.

Graduates will have skills in analytical and critical thinking, problem solving and decision making, preparation and presentation of business reports, effective use of communication and information technology for business applications and project management.

Graduates may pursue bachelor degrees in business and management or careers in business.

Admission

The Higher National Diploma Programme in Business is open to national and non-national residents with a National Diploma or equivalent. Admission to the programme is based on performance on a NIVE diagnostic assessment test for communication in English and mathematics.
